The mutant pushed her way through the crowd of protesters, tears welling in her eyes. “E-excuse me.” She stated softly, doing her best to avoid the pushing and shoving of the men and women that surrounded her. Hope was knocked to the ground and she grumbled before watching a man run with her purse. She gave a huff, sitting helpless for a moment. “Great.” She said, throwing her hands up in the air. A few men were screaming, holding up signs that read such derogatory terms as “MUTIE GO HOME” or “REVOLUTION NOT EVOLUTION.” The mutant stood from the crowd, stumbling slightly as she was still shoved around and she believed that she was even spit on, but she didn’t have time to look before she bumped into another figure with a grunt. “S-sorry.” She stammered for the umpteenth time today.
